LowranceFishfinder GPS w/Gold Navionics Chip Help

I'm looking into buying the Lowrance Elite 5 dsi with the Gold Navionics Chip, if anyone has this.. Are there a lot of Pennsylvania Rivers/Lakes on it or is it more for coastal use? I have been looking for awhile now on what lakes come with this unit with the custom chip but can't find anything.. Im going to call them tomorrow if nobody has any info. Thanks, Ed

You'd be better off with the Navionics HotMaps Premium or Platinum.

I think Trout About is correct.  The Hotmaps is regional, and I would imagine more local lakes than the Gold I think covers only the most popular lakes through the entire US.  That said, my Hotmaps only has about 10 PA lakes.  It has the ones that I fish most, so works for me.  Make sure you check their coverage first.  They are really nice when trying to find underwater structure.  Definitely not 100% accurate, but will get you close, and can always add a waypoint to adjust.
