Tips for Cranberry Glades

Any tips for shore or boat fishing? I seen you cant fish from the breast.. And whats the best way to avoid the killer swarms of Gnats?

    I haven't fished it for several years but the only way I ever was able to keep the biting bugs away was to be on the water in the boat.  Shore fishing was brutal there at times from the bugs.

    Went there today and fished with shiners, only caught a yellow perch.. going Thurs with a boat hopefully

    Yes, only the center is clear. It seems theres a ton of fish in those weeds tho...

    That's kind of what I had thought. I might still give it a go. There are massive carp in that lake that I need to catch. The only thing that concerns me is that most of the other big predator fish are long gone, so there may be a bunch of little carp  to deal with.
