Just came back from the lake, slow & windy. Lake is a couple of feet low only a few of us out. I tried throwing sticks & top water to no avail. Then I tried for some gills, same results. On a bright side there was very little trash around. Detour is still in effect. Anyone have any idea when it will be done? I may make a few calls to see. Don't know why the gills aren't hitting there they drove me out of Twin Lakes. I did pretty well on trout this afternoon at Twin, but couldn't use jigs because of the gills.  sam

It was dead on Friday in the wind.  Took a 1/2 day vacation to take my son out for his birthday outing and we got skunked.  That was a first for me there.  Usually get at least a few small gills this time of the year.  Wind was brutal and anchor wouldn't hold.  He did get a kick out of seeing all the carp in the shallows and we were able to get pretty close to a few.

Grabbed some frozen custard on the way home and he was happy.  Finished the day off at Iron man 3 and he was elated.

Water temp was 61.5 and there weren't any crappie on the shallow structure yet.
