I'll probably hit Donegal and/or Mammoth after about 2 with my buddy who's braving the crowd in Ligoner...  I just can't bring myself to try to deal with the people for the first cast... lol

Mags00, I hear ya. Donegal is nice because it is big so it lets the guys spread out a little. Seems like Donegal and Laurel Hill get more boat pressure to me.

Two years ago I went there on opening day around 2/2:30 there was maybe 8 boats and 10 shore fisherman and it was nice. I can't handle the majority of the people who are out that weekend warrior and just ruin a fishing experience and leave their butts, line, dead fish, and garbage everywhere...

This is the first in years i havent gone on the first day. My dad always took my brother and i to laurel hill creek for the first day from the time we were little up to my early 20s. We had a spot no one else knew about we always had to ourselves every year. Now that we dont do that anymore going out on the opening day just doesnt seem as important. I was thinking about going out myself to twin lakes but id rather not deal with the crowds. Thats no way to fish. Maybe ill just get out there and try some carpin later this afternoo.

I'M ON A MISSION
IM GOING FISHING

I actually went to the outflow of Canonsburg below the d-a-m-n, not as crowded as i would have thought. even though I didn't catch anything it was nice to wet a line.

I went to Kooser. It was as crowded as I thought. Met some nice people though. Had a lot of fun. I caught six there and my brother caught 2. Stopped at Donegal on the way home and caught few bluegills and not sure whatbthey where. Looked like minnows only about 4-5 inches long. They were real shiny on the sides.

Me and my cousin both caught limits Saturday at keystone lake. Trolling spinners out of my canoe. Also managed to pull 40 trout out of turtle creek in the past 2 days. None over 12" but had a great time out on the water. Ready to try some new spots. I credit my success to experience I picked up in erie chasing steelhead. Plus i helped stock turtle creeek so I knew where the fish would be. I plan to help stock and fish 2 new creeks each year from now on
