CANADOHTA LAKE TOURNEY FEBRUARY 23, 2013

Ice update as of mid-day Thursday, Feb. 21: a gentleman reported "solid ice today after walking on the ice** and drilling a hole in very shallow water. He said the ice is "slick as a hockey rink" though so you might consider some kind of ice cleats or similar to aid in your traction.  As always, we urge caution fishing on any ice and of course ice fishing safety must be your primary concern. Stepping out on the ice is an additional risk that anglers should only take with proper equipment and knowledge of ice fishing safety.  **Ice fishing at your own risk; Timberland Bait does not measure ice on Canadohta Lake and cannot guarantee ice fishing safety. 

• Tourney Date: February 23, 2013
• Tourney Time: 7am start to 4:30pm finish; prizes at 4:30pm
• Registration: Registration is at the bait shop on Friday 8am-9pm or Saturday as of 5am. If you need to register on Saturday, go to the bait shop. You may register any time Saturday (i.e., you don't have to be registered by 7am...if you show up at 11:45am or 1pm or 3:59pm and want to register, that's fine--go to the bait shop).
• Registration Fee: $15 (no pre registration; buy your ticket at bait shop on Friday or Saturday at the hours listed here).
• Optional 50/50 Drawing: You may buy a single ticket  for $5.  One ticket only per person.  You will include your name and phone number on the ticket.  Drawing to be held at 4:30pm at boat launch.  Winner need not be present.  Tickets may be purchased at the bait shop on Friday or Saturday.  One ticket only (max 1) per person.
• Fishing: Absolutely no fishing prior to 7am.  Jerry will be riding around checking.  Prizes awarded for largest, legal fish in various categories Musky, Walleye, Northern Pike, Crappie & Perch.
• Bait: Get your bait Friday between 8am and 9pm or as of 5am Saturday morning.
• Protocol: If you are fishing for large game fish prizes, put your fish on a stringer (sold at the bait shop) and call Jerry's cell or use a walkie-talkie so he can drive over and check out / measure your fish.  
• Walkie-talkie: channel tbd; ask at the bait shop on Friday or Saturday.
