Worth the walk!

Fished the Susky river from 3 til 4 while the wife shopped. Caught one very nice 21 inch smally. Silver HJ 14 fished very slow. No one else fishing.

Funny you should ask. I saw a total of 16 live deer on the drive home! Was also a bug hatch on the river, have no idea what they were.

That's one of the nice things about putting some effort into a fishing location Noplacelikehome. So many fisherman want to do the easy thing, pull up to a place and start fishing. I'm not bashing them, too each their own. There are a myriad amount of reasons as to why one would want to pull up to a place, get out and fish. Sometimes it's as basic as having enough time. When one puts the time into it, success often comes "relatively" easy. I say relatively because one still has to put the time in, a little effort, maybe a lot of effort, but it often makes it all worthwhile. Congrats to you Noplacelikehome! Nice fish!
