beaver meadows lake

has anyone ever fished beaver meadows lake up by marienville. just curious if its open to the public or if you have to be staying at the campground to fish it.

    open to the public
    awful weedy in August - prevented me from fishing it..............

    4 out of 3 people don't understand fractions.

    30+ years ago I caught many largemouth there.  Over the years the lake turned iron red (mine drainage? ) and the fishing declined.  Haven't been there in years, so maybe things are different now.

    for me but cats and junk fish, but
    has anyone ever ice fished it? just

    How in the heck do you ice fish off of an inflatable boat? You would be lookin pretty silly out there on yer boat sittin on that ice. Do you drill your hole thru the bottom of the boat?
