1-29-13 Ice fishing, local pond

Fished from 1 til 3 pm. Only used 2 jigging rods with wax worms. Caught 17 gills and 1   16 inch largemouth. Was great to get out!  Ice was 4 inches. Left when it started to rain.

    I haven't ice fished a lot, but when I have it has usually been for gills and panfish... lots of fun through the ice (or actually anytime!)
     
    Glad to hear you had a productive day, weather is really getting iffy though in some areas for ice safety, so take extra care!

    Glad I got out. Its 60 and pouring rain here right now!!! So much for ice fishing close to my house.
