Presque Isle Bay

I've read that Misery and Horseshoe are good to go, but what about the bay? Is it good ice the whole way? Any info on conditions up there (including Misery and Horseshoe) would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone catch any steel from the ice yet?

We haven't been ice fishing yet this season, how depressing! BTW, Even though I loved your old Avatar and still do, I also love your new, colorized Avatar. Did you ever think of colorizing your original one?

We have had 6-8 inches of black ice some years and the news says the ice is unsafe to walk on. There as reliable as the weather man.

I myself have never seen the bay drop 18 inches in a week... I may be wrong but that sounds bogus to me... I hope it's good cus I can't wait to smash some perch after dark!

I checked the head of the bay today.  Found 2 and half inches of ice.

That's a nice mess of fish. I don't think I'll be up though. 3" isn't enough for me.

Depressing news, hopefully I can get out next week Friday or Sunday. Well see what the rain does to the ice. I need to whack some perch this year!

I'm glad  you like them. I drew them and a few others. I'll switch out the gill for a largemouth, perch, or brook trout that I drew one of these days .

I measured the ice there.  I'm 100% sure there is 4-4 1/2 inches of ice there.

The son and I fished Misery Bay again today we caught 3/4 of a 5 gallon bucket of mostly gills. Ice in this spot was 41/2 inches . Misery bay was a shanty town today, lots of people. Saw 8 huts at Marina Bay and some across the bay on Erie side

I saw a few guys sitting on the ice off of Chestnut and off the Dock.  Any one have any word on the ice over there?  I can't imagine it's any good...

Thanks buddy. They were actually done on Microsoft Paint. They only look good as thumbnails. That's what I drew them for. If I blew them up, they would look horrible. I've thought about making a bunch of pics like that and selling them electronically, but I doubt it would be worth it. Thanks for the kind words though.

Ice was 4" plus, alot of white Ice. Rough on top because of winds before freezing.melt down and rain should help level out. water was milky.
