LAKE WILHELM

If anyone goes to Lake Wilhelm this week let us now how you did. Plan on going down next weekend.

    Crossed the lake yesterday on 79... Only about halfway frozen over

    Talked to a guy that fish wilhelm...said there was 5" good ice.They where catching a few gills.

    My wife and I went to lake Wilhelm today to see how the ice was. Two guys where out by the stumps parking lot.( PARK ROAD NORTHSIDE) They said the ice  was 3 inches good with 1 inch white ice on top. Only two inches ice south of the stumps.  Not good for me. The old beach tree has been gone for awhile now. That was my landmark for good fishing. Then we drove up to sugar lake. About 6 huts where on that lake. Don't know how the ice was there,must be better then Wilhelm.

    I was at Sugar for a little while today. Ice was maybe 4 good inches, 5 absolute tops. I only fished for a short period w/o success. Spoke to a couple other guys who weren't doing any good either.
    There was about 12 huts out when I was there.

    Traveled across 79 yesterday about 3pm saw a couple guys to the north around stumps and a shanty on the south east side near shore.

    Went to Wilhelm this morning and a waste of time.   Only one there.  Ice isn't good enough for me.  Could only go out about 70 yards from launch 3 and the ice got bad fast.  Did fish for a little while back in closer to launch and had one that came and took a look and that was it. The ice has slush and water on top.   Thickness from 5 to 2 1/2 inches.

    Anyone from here out yesterdAy ten shanties off of the left side of 79 north. As of 10 am. Just wAnna see what's out there for my self really isn't that brave lol
