Skim ice at east and west ends of Shenango lake. Middle beteen rte 18 and dam open .

Just heard on the weather report tonight the bay temp is 34 degrees and forecasting temps in the teens by weeks end...... there's some ice making weather coming

Gunna Check - out Misery and HorseShoe bay Today ...These two bays freeze Sometimes Weeks before the Main Bay Freezes Tight..... Will gladly take some Gill Action over Nothing at All.... Will Post Later...........nw/

The head of the bay is iced up and we had 1 1/2 of ice in front of our duck blind this morning by marina rd. Not good for duck hunting, but I walked on water today! Couldn't get it to break up, mixed feeling until the blind was down. Now let's fish!

Was about 1.5 of White Ice In Some areas of Horseshoe Also .. Spud bar Used to creep out and punch a hole ....nw/

wilhelm - 95% locked up ... inch of smokey stuff in most places but near the sheakleyville causeway 1.5-2 inches ... only like a half inch good though ... and i wasnt standing on it either just broke it up a little near shore so its still got a good 2-3 weeks to go ... but on a positive theres already more ice there now then last winter through the whole season so as long as good ol mother nature holds out we should have some action !!! my fingers are crossed for sure bought a vex 2 years ago and really have only got to play around with it like 5 times so im ready to go

Hello fellow fishermen and women,
it has been awhile since posted and 3 years since we had a good year of ice fishing. With mother nature showing signs of possible good year gear is getting ready!!!!!
Kids and I are taking a ride to check out the head of the bay today. I will post results later , happy new year all!!!1

ok , sorry for a day late , head of bay starting to ice up , starting to get past the weed bed of 1st parking lot. ice is trying to form through out the bay.. We need the mother nature to keep helping us out.. I did not drive down to Horseshoe pond or misery cause we were running late for new years dinner.
