Well not as good as I hoped for. Was looking forward to get out some for Waterfowl but didn't happen. Friend building new house/Archery/young kids  & work had him purdy busy to say the least. Late season is better anyways. So had more time to spend fishin'.

Could have caught many more L/M, Pike & Cats but pain in the butt trying to use 1 rod for Panfish & another for the Pike. Enjoy the practice with the hook sets on the Crappie & Perch & teasing them to bite. Plus dragging bigger fish through the weedbeds ain't so much fun while wading. Hope to get back out a few times in the next 5 days/nights before cabin feaver sets in.

  Oh yeah,

On the 10" Gills I found a mine pond with 'em while goose hunting, took the rod & bag ov tackle so could retrieve the Geese since didn't have a dog or boat. During the slow time waiting it out got into some 10"ers right off the bat. Almost positive they were some kind ov Hybrids from down south.

That's awesome. That would be an icefishing gold mine.

Haven't put the boat away yet as i'm still on the crappies. Had a good weekend with over 50 keepers in three trips out. My two buddys kept over thirty one day and i kept twenty in two trips out by myself. Jigs under a bobber are working best.

Chauncy, agreed!...not sure what lake you're fishing but the fish are still very active on the two lakes that i've been fishing. It's been alot of fun. I hope it last.

Got Walleye???

Seems the Panfish have moved to their winter holding areas.

Not yet. I got 15 keepers out of 20 something yesterday. Some as shallow as 4ft over wood. Still hitting jigs too. I may put the boat away by this weekend. Waiting for next weeks forcast before i do.

I was fishing the north end of a lake yesterday. We couldn't buy a bite fishing wood, outside weed edges, road beds or creek channel. Most of the area was ice covered the day before though. I'm sure the main lake & south end would be a better bet from shore or wading this time ov yr. than the north.

 Good Luck,
