Ever Wonder ???

what and how deer act during a storm...
well this evening we were entertained by a set of twin fawns in the yard running and playing ...  and as a storm hit and the rain fell they both headed under a row of pine trees until the rain stopped... then they came out and started licking the rain off each other.. it was really entertaining. They played around for about 10 minutes then Momma called and away they went. did manage a few cute photos though....

    Last photo is great.

I've watched adult deer in the pouring rain before.  From what I've seen in the woods, in really heavy down pour they stand still like statues.

Nice pics, but all a deer can do in a storm is stand there under trees when you have them behind an electric fence!!! Good looking young ones. How long are their spots on for, I thought they'd be gone by this time of year, being born probably a little earlier this year?

If I agreed with you we’d both be wrong.

Everything I noticed this year, was LATE. Bucks didnt lose their racks til april. Rut was late last fall. Babies were born late this spring. Spots are still on the yearlings. Racks are still growing now. Amazing what a trail cam can teach you.

Dr. Trout I know it was electric because you accidently posted the picture of you plugging it in to a wall outlet in a different forum... DUH!!!

If I agreed with you we’d both be wrong.
