A little bit of help for next week

Doing some camping at Clear Creek State Park next week.  I haven't camped there in about 7 years.  Somebody told me that the big pond with the "beach" is spring fed and holds a lot of trout.  I was just wondering if this i actually true or just BS. I know that the creek holds some decent trout, but I would like to be able to use some spoons in the pond if it holds fish.  Any info on the pond or how the creek/river is this time of year would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, guys.
