Foam Mouse

Been playing with some craft foam and Zonker strips trying to make a mouse for those Brownies at night.
Reverse tied the zonkers on the hook so they will flair in the water when retreived.
Tried to make a popper type head to make some noise in the water.
Any tips or tricks that might help ???

First couple attempts.

I'd use double, if not 3x-4x the foam.  I'm not too sure that this one can hold waterlogged rabbit above water on a tight line.  Other than that, I'm not sure, but that was the first thing that jumped out at me.
