Summer Solstice

Today is the summer solstice, a perfect day for fishing.  I really, really wish I had the time to fish this evening.  The longest day of the year is always one of my favorite days of the year.  Even if its 90 degrees, please go out and enjoy the weather, however you may like.

I'm taking Friday off to do just that. I don't know if its because I'm getting older, but time is moving faster and it feels like the summer is flying by. Plan is to go to Erie and do some shore fishing on Friday and maybe pull the boat up to Lake Arthur on Saturday. Sort of like Ferris Buellers Day off, got to take the time to take some time.

    Bump

Once again, its the longest day of the year.  Go fish the local pond, or wade around a river, or take the boat out for a ride, or walk with the kids, or the wife, or the dog, or whoever.  Best day of the year.

Cold, If there ever was something that would keep me from fishing, a bachelor party would be it.

The spawn is on. I was at Twin Lakes yesterday morning and the carp were getting crazy on each other. Hooked in a big one, maybe 17 lbs. When i got it to shore there were about 9 or 10 other large carp right up on it and pressed up against each other. Once i figured out which one was mine i netted it and the others all slowly dispersed back out into the water. Never saw anything like it. My first time witnessing the spawn.

    I'M ON A MISSION
    IM GOING FISHING

Well I had a great morning of fishing, but a poor morning of catching ..
I threw everything I had at the bass at Brady's Run Lake EXCEPT the kitchen sink! Caught 1 on a black rooster tail. Tomorrow is another day..
