Warm water 8 wt lines (suggestions needed)

Hi Gents,

As you know, I'm headed to the maldives at the end of May/beg June for 2 weeks. I've got a Dan Craft FT 908-4 blank on the way to me. I need a new warmwater/hotwater line to go with it. I was looking at the Rio tropical clouser, but I'm open to suggestions. I prefer a harder/stiffer line. I'm not looking for a delicate taper. Most of my fishing is walking the beaches and sight casting to structure with clousers or other medium streamers. Ease of casting 80' of line with a chunk of fluff on the end is probably my priority. I'd prefer not shooting heads or other short head setups. I prefer a head of 40' or more.

Any suggestions?

    Since you mentioned rio and 40ft heads...

    I have this in a 10 and is a really nice line
    i'd suggest staying away from a full floater

    I'm already sorted with a full intermediate on my 10 wt. It is an integrated shooting head setup. I also have a couple different shooting heads which I'll get some running line for, and a 15' sink tip on a spool. The 10 wt is sorted.

    I can also use the same running line spool on the 8 wt and I have sinking heads for that. I guess I could consider an intermediate tip, but I'd be interested in why you've suggested it. I've used a straight floater in the past, but I'm always looking to improve.

    A lot of times when you see fish busting the surface they are not taking bait on the surface but under the surface. The intermediate will put you there. You can also use the sink tips by stripping right after fly lands on water. There are many times I use a 300 grain head in a couple feet of water. We had this happen up in Cape Cod last year fish were blowing up ever where but would not take flies on top.

    lots of fish "busting" are actually coming from deep and slashing AND a sink that is imediately stripped will fish a lot shallower than you think

    a floater is also going to be impacted by waves and water movement
    the int will start to dig and fish true
