Fish Pimps.  Haven't bought any for awhile but assume they are still made.

There are probably millions of those in Elk Creek logs by now, they pop off every time a fish is hooked.

By far (in my opinion) the most worthless piece of fishing equipment ever.

The dry fly as an indicator is a good idea for shallow clear water, but it's more of a hassle in heavier riffles, and times when you need lots of weight to get down.

An indicator has it's downfall in certain situations, particuarly when you're fishing very fast riffles where the surface current is way faster than the current on the bottom where the fish are hanging out. In this case your indicator is going to pull your flies downstream much faster and ruin your chances at a dead drift.

Using no indicator works well in fast riffles and pocket water. Czech nymphing in particular is deadly in the riffles.
