What rod is best?

I'm making some articulated steamers this spring. I will be using the new small/medium weight fish skulls. I'm not sure wich of my two rods would be better suited for casting the heavier weight. I have a White River Dogwood Canyon DC 765 5wt, 7'6" rod paired with a DC56 reel. Spooled with weight forward 5wt floaing line.
the other is a St Croix Rio Santo 9' 6wt, paired With a Prestige plus II reel spooled with weight forward floating 6 wt line. Will either outfit handle a heavy streamer? Is one better suited than the other? Any help is good help.
Thanks

I would say 6 wt but I'm a rookie, I use 6 wt for bass and run streamers fine, and some heavy field mice. But I'm no expert at all, so hopefully the other replies can help us both

I'd go with the 6 WT.
