Union City--swamps

I have a buddy who lives in Union City lots of land with a swamp. Went up to shoot guns he told me bring my ice rods because hes never tried it ice fishing. Went to the deep end with lots of brush every drop caught either a big gill, crappie, and some huge bass. He says there's a lot of these areas up there and are local to public plus its just miles from lake canadota which is great to hope bodies of water. Anyone else ice fish "swamps" through the ice?

    Yeah I never heard of it either! It was rock solid though about 6 inches all around except for the small creek run-off but its not heavily fished so they packed with fish. I want to try other ones just need to know land owner rights. But we honestly caught 30 nice bluegills and crappies for super, and probably 8 to 10 bass to give a trill

    I will bring the carbine and side cannons so we can split time on watch giving cover-fire while the other brings up fishes.  drill....  kapow!  fish on!  kapow!  fish on!  drill.... kapow!  fish on!  ok...  your turn.  cover my right flank!  kapow!

    There are several swampy ponds on SGLs in the general area.w_w.

    If it has fins and gills, I'm there.

    most of those sgl swamp ponds are beaver dams that are more dangerous than their worth. id love to get access to some farm ponds though....
