Few questions about 18 mile.

A few buddies and myself are heading up to Olcott, NY in mid May for some Salmon fishing through a charter. We're heading up a few days early to fish 18 mile. Could somebody tell me what I can expect as far as what that tributary holds? I haven't yet fished up there so this will be my first time.

Will there be steelhead remaining in 18 mile in May? I've heard there are a few browns in there too. I'll be fishing with a 10ft noodle rod and 6 pound test. I'm hoping this is heavy enough.

There are four of us going out with Captain Paul Dreher of Fortune Charters. We hire him for a walleye trip every year out of Dunkirk and do very well when the weather cooperates, though the past 3 years it's been way too windy to fish on our reserved dates. Lake Erie sure gets rough fast.
