18 mile Burt Dam

Just wanted to see if anyone has been to 18 mile within the past few days and how is the fishing? Planning on making a trip up on wednesday and all the input would help. Thanks!!

    I was up Sunday just for the day, pressure was fairly light early on and got more crowded as the day warmed up. Fished the rock wall up towards the dam, landed several Browns, a king and some steelhead. Not hot and heavy but enough to keep busy. Water was stained that tanic color from leaves with good flow over the dam. Talked to a couple of guys who fished the dam and they said it was pretty hot and heavy up there. Most of my fish were caught on small white sacs and single eggs. Good luck!

    I had read on another site that the turbine is not running at the dam. I did not venture up that far to confirm that but let us know how you do.

    Did you mean the Oak ?  The turbines were being repaired at the Oak Orchard and not all running but I believe they all are now.

    how about a report Ronnydub....did you manage to get out on the burt water? (bet it stinks horribly now)

    I did not.. Instead I got stuck with 3 meetings until friday so my trip has been ruined. Might try in 2 weeks going there or to the oak. How do you think it would be around Thanksgiving?
