10 years ago when we lived with my in-laws, a plane was strafing the valley behind their house dropping the vaccines.
They dropped a couple in their driveway, and I called around to see what they were. Can't remember how I found the number or where it came from.
But, I was told that it was actually harmful to pets, and not to let them eat it.

I still would not let any pets near it even though they say its safe. "If you touch an intact bait or the liquid vaccine inside, immediately wash your hands and any other exposed area of skin with soap and water," advises County Health Director Dr. Bruce W. Dixon. "In the unlikely event a blister-like rash should develop, please contact your family doctor." The public is asked to keep their pets on a leash, indoors or confined to their property as much as possible this month, because while the baits are not harmful to pets, health officials don't want them to find and eat the baits instead of raccoons."

That's already here tull. Thankfully it's not cost effective. YET.

I got dumped on by a helicopter once while fishing Oil Creek.
I think they were dropping something to kill the black flies not sure...

If I remember correctly, whomever I talked to said it contained Anthrax. I'm sure it was dead anthrax, similar to most of the vaccinations we get, but still . . .

Know a Federal Game Guy who told me that when the Rabies thing was getting out of hand they were dropping vaccine for it over forests. Seems that they spread the edible stuff and then went into the areas and did a survey the next year or so and found that a huge number of animals had eaten it and were now immune to the Rabies. As a guy whos Setter that got tangled up with a rabid Coon within sight of my house once I was happy as hades to hear about the effort. Rabis is still here but not like it was. Hope they spread it again too. BTW- wish they could do people contraceptives Tull- Know some places I'd like to fly over withem. More than once too.

Gota watch out your dog doesn't get into that stuff. It's expected to be dropped from Erie to Green counties. Any one have a MSDS on that stuff? The dept of agriculture is responsible for it .

Is that the Rabies stuff or the stuff Tull and I were talking about? If its the second it would be a real travesty to make dogs infertile too.

I guess the black helicopter I seen a few last week and the week before hoovering just over the trees was doing? Most was in the north hills,wexford,warrendale area.
