Just checked the Catt flow gauge- lots of new data incl. temp. and turbidity. Should be useful once we can figure what's what.

Checked it out Thursday, solid mud from Rte.5 to Versailles. It's going to need a real good flushing.

A few changes to the SNI/Catt Cr. regulations for the Rez this year. Guiding no longer allowed on the Rez. Limit is now 3 steelhead. 3 day licenses are available for $25.

That's okay; I quoted the wrong post . Dano, where'd you get that info on the SNI Reservation?

There will be days when fishing is better than ones optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home. **Roderick Haig-Brown

Given the Catt is such as large drainage system, it is my understanding that if a deer pees on one bank and a baby cries on the other, the creek blows out quickly and often, and takes a long time to recede. Is it as volatile when it recedes as well? For example, two weekends ago, pretty good soaking until Monday. PA tribs rose, but by the weekend were very low and clear. Does The Catt have the same tendencies?

For all the big Kitty's bad press, this week (when dewey123 drove over it) was the first time she's been over 1000 cfs. since late Aug.! She needs a few more flushes(IMO) to get things goin'. Mohawk- my opinion is that it needs to be below 500 on the way down (post blow) to be clear, and that can take 3-4 days, depending. On the way up, she'll fish into 6-700, but that can take about an hour. IMO

Around September 17 I was returning from a short vacation up at Sodus Point and on the drive home I took my wife to the Seneca Indian Casino near Irving as she likes to play the slots in some moderation. As we got off I-90 and drove over the Rt-5 bridge I happened to notice the little dirt access road (just past the Western-Wear store) that takes you down under the bridge was blocked off. There seemed to be some big construction project going on there, perhaps it was a flood control project, I'm not sure. Anyway, I have fished downstream from this bridge in many places in the past with good success all the way down to the 2 railroad trestles, but haven't been able to make it up there yet this fall. So that I don't waste about 150 miles of additional driving from Erie can anyone tell me the status of that dirt road that allows us "trolls" to get down under the Rt-5 bridge in our truck?
and some of them don't even know that they're dead.......and some of them can't grasp the fact that they're on ignore.

There is a driveway across the road from the old driveway. If the cones are there just drive between them. You can park under the bridge. I'm sure you know from the bridge down, that side of the creek is N.Y.
