Magnum shells?

Do any of you use these for the early season?
Had a very good friend give me 6 new shells! Thanks Rich!

I know they are great for getting those late season high fliers down.
I know it doesn,t take much for the early birds to come in with just a call.

I Use 3.5 high velocity loads all the time.  I also carry some cheaper round for clean ups.  I don't shoot anything over 40 yards... Its to expensive and I suck at the longer shots

3 1/2" 2's early, bb rest of the year.

The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.

Early season,we use 3 inch 2's,1's or BB's,the birds are in your face. A long shot is 35 yards and all the above loads will stone them. We go with 3 1/2 BB's the rest of the year, will shoot 3 inch loads under the right set up when birds are really dec'in well.I've been watching huge flocks hitting sweet corn fields and wheat fields in Ohio less than 3 weeks and counting.

3" number 2 black clouds the whole season for ducks and geese.  Only time I would shoot 3 1/2" is if I get a blind at pymy and I know those birds rarely decoy, plus after the first few days and them getting sky busted on them birds stay just out of range of most people and ammo (I just switched to the black cloud 3" snow goose for these situations even).

I don't think I'll ever shoot 3 1/2" again for waterfowl, and now I'm probably even going to use the new black cloud high velocity in 3" #4's for turkey even.

The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!
