Awarded doe tags??????

Was wonderinng how many of you guy have been Awarded tags?? Put mine in on the Sunday Before 6/11 and still shows that I didn't get Awarded a tag,Maybe I'll sent another one in just in case it got lost in the mail. Have not have had it sent back either? Dave

    I sent on Saturday 7/9 and was awarded Monday 7/11/11.  Two weeks is a long time for the processing to have not occured.  There has been issues with slow treasurers in the past.  Hopefully, that is not the case with the one you sent to.
     
    As for sending another application.  If the first one did make it, and you send another, that could be a violation.

    Call the county treasurer and see if all tags have been issued prior to receiving on or around the date your should of arrived there. Only 2G is sold out.

    I was awarded my 2E.  Waffling on 4A or 4D for the bonus round.  Will probably go with whichever has more tags left and thus a better chance of getting them.
     
    While looking at what tags are left, I noticed that 5C had a listed allocation of 117,000 tags of which less than 5,500 wer sold.  Is that correct?
     
    I am unfamiliar with that area at all (not looking to hunt there either), but that seems like a lot of tags (not bashing it, just questioning if the numer is correct).
     
    In any case, it doesn't seem like too many hunters are purchasing tags for that WMU if the number of allocated tags is correct.

    Yeah, that's correct Shawn. That's deerfly's area. There's only 3 deer left (the ones that watch him cut wood) so no one is buying tags.

    Okay, now for being serious. Folks hunting 5C (and 2B) are not in a rush to buy tags.

    My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

    Yea.  No rush in either 5C or 2B as the tags are pretty much unlimited.  Many folks wait till they go over the counter then stop in at the treasurers office and buy them up, several at a time.

    Sweet, deer season is upon us!  Buy stock in cheap beer and microwave popcorn.  This will soon be the most active forum.

    It's public records but I keep them for 2F/Jefferson County and always have.

    Last year 2F had 22,148 antlerless tags..

    this year 34,000

    and there's 10,000 left more or less....so that means 24,000 have been issued.. thus 2,000 more than last year..

    Well be darned awarded today. Now for some bonus tags GOTTA FILL THAT FREEZER!!! Thanks for the input guy's. ya know If not mistaken I had the same thing happen last year . Just as I post about no tags BANG they SHOW UP go figure DAVE

    I put mine in the mail on 7/8 and checked around 10am on 7/11 and it showed I was awarded for 2F.My check cleared a couple days later.

    I'm gonna fish more and work less.
