Tying for Alaska

Started in this afternoon following the guide's patterns -

4 months and counting.

Truly hope I can make it.......

Now to switch gears and start tying for some very special people I hope to meet later this year......

What color of egg for the purple egg sucking leach?

Nice looking flies, looking at the colors looks like you are after silvers and kings, and of course bows. You can always slip a bead on in front of your fly to make it egg sucking. Were are you going and what are you after? If bows don't forget beads if salmon are in the water, that becomes match the hatch. If salmon, don't forget smaller darker flyies if in clear small water or low water, they will get turned off with big bright stuff. I guide in Alaska and this is general info, also try foam mouse, smaller ones easier to cast when wet. Have a great trip.
