Edinboro Report

Only could get out for an hour and a half, but Edinboro still has very good ice!

I measured 12 inches and there is about 2 inches of slush on top.

I only got 6 - 1 nice bluegill on a #2 charteuse jigging Rapala, and 2 bluegills and 4 perch on a #12 chartreuse/lime Genz Worm with maggots.

One of the perch was pretty nice and very pregnant. I only went out about 100 yards and moved once, from 14FOW to 12FOW.

Had I known the ice was that good, I would have actually planned the trip - I kind of went by the seat of my pants. I'm guessing now (1630) would have been the better time to start. I gotta believe the crappies would turn on this evening.

Tonight's low is 29 and Sunday night 22, Monday night 23 - so we might be good for a few days!

also fished boro lake today from about 830am til 130pm...caught a few nice gills and a few small perch including a 2.5-3 incher that had to be the smallest perch i have ever caught..we were straight off the rt99 beach in about 11fow...using gentz worms w/maggots and a soft plastic worm on a jig head...saw several big groups of gills on the cam but could only get one out of each group

It's not how deep you fish...It's how you wiggle your worm.
