Flys / Techniques for catchin those suckas'

Lets hear em' because I can't catch these things as easily as others...seems like anything that sits on the bottom will work but its so **** tough to feel the bite....thinking about incorporating a strike indicator to help...or maybe its time to just forget about the tribs and move on to big water.

Nothing but a good ol' fashioned crawler gets my vote for suckers. Was up there yesterday with hundreds of the things swimmin around. Caught a bundle, and caught even more by just grabbing the things up with my hands. haha. I just casted a worm into them and let it sit. Once the line starts moving, you're gold. Sometimes it'll tug just like any other fish. FYI it's hard not to snag the **** things!

    I'd rather be fishin...

Hello All.... Is there any fly fishermen out there willing to give some tips and advice for a beginning fly fishermen.. I bought one of those kits a a Dicks sporting goods and took the fly road out this past monday... Surprisingly, I ddin't do as bad as i thought i would but i'm not exactly sure about the correct type of cast..(The feel)... Should there be a crack in the back loop (like a bull whip)? And what should be the arm motion going back and forward? How far in other word should i go back and come forward... I appreciate any and all advice... :)

Never a crack on the backcast or the forecast. That means you are letting too much line go past you and you are probably transitioning from back to front too quickly. Imagine that your rod is making a small loop at the back of your cast instead of an abrupt transition from back to forward. PM sent!
