First Steelhead of the year........

    It takes me a long time to drive to Erie.  I just love the pull of those steel.  When they are up to Rt. 5, let me know.  Plan to hit up Sportsman's Warehouse off of 279 Mt. Nebo exit.

    Forget Sportsman's Warehouse!  Drive 13 or so miles up rt 19 to Criders Corners.  Turn right on Mars/Freedom Road then left near the KOA campground.  There's a nice bait shop back there with everything you need to catch Erie salmons, uh, I mean steelheads.  You can't miss it.  It's the only business on that stretch.

    Frill though. The water temps is too dang high unless you eatin em.. usually catch the first few early scouts in august every year. They wanna float to the surface like a thanksgiving turd though if you try to put em back. I look at Lil Ronny my son and i tell the boy try mouth to mouth and he does but it dont work. Typical powerbait on the wall behavior

    that was funny to see.. it is crazy to me that year after year people still think they can control when the masses start to show up… posting 1 fish on social media isn’t going to alter the inevitable fact that come sept-oct people show up in numbers no matter what regardless of fish, flows or heat…
