Gizzard shad in Arthur

Didn't know there were gizzard shad in Arthur.  But this is certainly a g-shad.

    Perhaps a musky or get giant northern can eat them at that size. Just imagine how many eggs are in that belly!

    I used to use them at Lake Hartwell for stripers.  Caught a 29lb striper on a 15" gizzard.  I thought my buddy was nuts when he put it on for bait.  a 15" gizzard shad is pretty thick.  The smaller ones would be good for hybrids.  A little heartier than alewives.
