Out last night and never got a hit from Eye. My Brother and I trolled, and drifted bait on the bars. Then casted toward dark, nothing. Saw one eye taken out of 5 boats. Talked to wader that took 4 between 6:30  and 8:00, on minnow and jig. Perhaps the shore line was slightly warmer with the sun yesterday. Or perhaps his shivering attracted them.

If you were fishing last evening at Pymy or happen to look in the western sky this was a strange site about 7:30. Two aircraft flying "extremely close" to each other for miles and miles. It appeared the smaller one was some kind of escort or leader in the flight. Never seen anything like this ever! Picture isn't great had the camera on 8x's zoom. Watched them just disappear heading southeast together. Maybe refueling  ?  You tell me ???

BTDT, these Walleye are fat this time of year !

Looks about 19-20 inches. Nice Brock. I don't like to see those bass in numbers, because it always seemed like the end of the shallow eye bite. With this crazy weather it should be decent now. I guess no eyes last night? Keep after them.

Did it look like this one Eman?      Badazz Walleye Bill was at it again today on Pymie and hauled this beauty in.

So without further ado may I present, with permission of "Mr. Walleye" himself (sorry Bill just can't help myself ), a well deserved fish for a very passionate and dedicated walleye angler.

Congratulations Bill, well deserved, tight lines buddy

those waves yesterday were too much for me to handle. Fished different points and by the beach. Boats were on the sunken island and off the small island by the beach. Wade fishermen were coming out as I gave up on those waves and loaded the boat. saw many flights of ducks....water was between 44.6 to 45 degrees. good luck all

I hear you, I do.........  I hate the day after a rocky day on the water, takes me forever to be able to move without some part of this old body...........  hurting.

Besides I think the fish taste better when their caught out of clam water.

Those scatter raps actually dive fairly deep too, they max out around 13', trolling.

Anybody hit the north end at all?  Thinking about braving the madhouse on Sunday, but from the sounds of it, there isn't much going on.  I'm off during the week, maybe I'll just lay low til then.
Weather looks great but they are calling for a North wind on Sunday.   Nothing good comes from a North wind!  lol

What a woosie hiding that mug ! Nice fishy ! Lots of boats out tonight and a lot quit early must be slow all over. Shoreline's been slow too, a few here and there.

Lake was dead calm tonight, only waves were from all the boats !

I'll take the original floating Raps over all the Rapala choices !

Nice one BTDT. Hit the north end yesterday afternoon. 5 nice sized perch, few small ones, and 2 channel cats. As everyone else said, it's pretty slow.

Re: PYMATUNING FISHING REPORT 2016/04/16 09:06:59 (permalink)
Thanks fellas, it's always a good time on the water but there are those times, that make it special.

Captain  any question, that the picture was posted, with you in mind???

My buddy Dave, snapped that picture on his phone and we discussed tossing it on the board.  We continued to fish and Dave says "how about we put this one up?";  showed me the picture and I busted out laughing so hard I about, wet my panties!!

Dave and I fished to the north of Jamestown, seeing quite a few waders, and other boats congregated in and around Snodgrass but, didn't see any action.

As we were getting out around 9:30 PM we spoke to other anglers who reported one in the boat and we saw a couple of nice sized 'eyes'.

As with my lucky catch, latest reports (over the past few days) indicate the fish are being taken from deeper water jigging blades, buck-tails, twister tails and some deep water trolling.

While the catching seems sporadic at best; we all know, better times are a comin'.

Last but not least it's always good time fishing and better time when catching but, fish or no fish, always a fun time when ya can toss it on the boards for some chyts and giggles.

Tight lines to all and to all.......... I'm gone fishin'!
