Titelock rod holders

Anyone have any experience with these?

    my buddy bought a boat with rail mount titeloks and they seemed really chintzy. for rail mounts i had aluminum taco rod holders and they were pretty strong and adjustable for a low price, but you don't want to take them on and off much. i'm getting rid of them because i went with fish bite holders. you just mount bases around around your boat and move them were ever you want. i just got done mounting them and i think i'm going like them. for the titeloks i'd keep looking

    I have Tite Loc rod holders of various styles on my 16 footer. What I don't like about Tite Locs is that you may need an allen wrench to change the direction they are pointed (depends on the style rod holder), Plus, there are parts that can get lost. But Tite Locs are nicely machined pieces. Other than those couple "peeves" I just mentioned, I do feel they are a quality product.
     
    On my other boat, I had Berts. I liked the Berts over the Tite Locs. Nicer looking (Berts are shiny, Tite Locs dull), and Berts didn't require tools to adjust.

    I have triples on my boat and just use them for boards and I love them they are everything I need

    If you're looking to save on price a little bit but still go with a quality TUBE style holder i would definately check out the RAM Mount tubes as well. They have held up through absolute hell on erie and still hold a 10 foot diver rod with no problem. I have 2 on each side of the boat for trolling purposes..
