Cold rain of 1 1/2 inches flowing into Lake Erie will bring in new fresh fish that were staging waiting for the creek to flow colder and higher ! As for mupheres, many of them fish Erie as much as locals and alot are much better than locals also! I am from Pitssburgh area and can fish with best of them and have been doing so @ Erie for the last 33 years!
Why don*t you all just put your so called attitude and pride in your back pocket and just talk fishing?
Dafishingfool-----<*}}}>< Fish ON!!
See you all on Friday __ actually I will be up in creeks away from the crowds. A little walking the streams and fishing multiple holes is the way to go fishing......
PS> flow chart under weather and waves for Brandy RUn above Girard tells the whole story of rain you all got up there! When this little dinky puddle runs good you know the fish will make it above Girard in no time. Anytime one of locals that bash others want to fish and not talk trash drop me a line.
If any older people remember Frank and Junior Gracan I fished Erie with them when I was a teenager in the 1970*s. They were like uncles to me and I fished Yough with them alot also.
You that call yourself loclas should take some time and help the young fisher people out and give them a hand and a few tips. I have given my rod and reel to several young people to fish when I stood beside them and helped them hook into their first steelhead.
How many of you would let them use your 11 1/2 foot noodle rod with a Shimano Stella reel?? The fish and boat commission witness this several years ago when I was fishing in Girard park and the boys dad was so thankful when his son got his first steelhead! Take some time and teach the next generation to enjoy the water and fishing experience. They are our future to keep steelheading around for years to come. 10-15 minutes helping others is as good as catching fish myself and much more rewarding!!
