Main Lake

Anyone out in the main lake recently?  I went out about a week and half to Walnut, trout and Elk.  Did well.  Boated 16 and lost a few more.  Interested to hear what the lake fishing from a boat been like since the rains.  Thinking of going up early next week.

The only boats out right now are fishing the protected pocket off the channel and are having a rough time of it. The winds are out of the north east to east and building the mud line is out about 1/2 mile. Cleared up a little yesterday and though it would be in good shape for the weekend BUT the low moved in and ended that. Not expected to be any better for the remainder of the week. The bay from the channel to the ore docks would be your best bet with a north east wind and there are plenty of trout off the mouth of mill creek.  Starting Monday there will be some layout boats set up for duck in that area. Just have to troll around them wave and smile.
