I just got back from fishing 41 boat launch in front of stoker island 4 flags all day. I managed a 12 inch crappie and missed something on another. I want to warn anyone walking between the narrow passage between stoker its rotten ice, I fell through up to my ****, what a way to end the day.  After the rain and 50's this week its done, see you on the ice next year.

Hit pymy for the final outing of the season this morning.  Although this morning was probably the slowest of my last 6 mornings out (not in a row) I brought home 8 nice crappies with the biggest being 13.25".  Jigmaster, I saw you yesterday morning and by the time I realized who you were, you had already move farther down the lake than where you were origionally.  Glad to hear you had a good season and I hope alot of you did as well.  I'm ready with my waders and the raps for the open water. Have a good soft water season everbody. And be safe.

Thanks again Al for the great reports.  Saturday was my last day on the ice - this is just as hard as quitting smoking.  Just about every day since my uncle has texted me "Hey, you feelin' sick tomorrow?"  His first season of ice fishing and he's gonna need to check into ice fishing rehab now that the season's over.  denny cranex2

How was the ice.....

The ice where i was at this morning was about 9-10 inches but getting soft.  Not much black ice at all.  If you must go out one more time make it tomorrow.  I hear rain showers from tomorrow night through sunday.  If you go please be careful.  Again, the ice when I left today was getting soft.

I never said anyone was lazy...etc...all I said was anglers need to put some time in scouting to catch fish! I take lots of friends to spots I have scouted, sometimes the drag is tough....but that is the sacrifice we have to make in order to maybe catch some fish. I have not posted anything on any fishing boards in quite a while, now I officially done posting. I apologize to anyone I offended.....

I'm going to try Jamestown tomorrow a.m.  I don't have a spud bar but I will drill as I go.  If the ice is borderline i may try the north end or run over to Wilhelm.

I'm in for the get-together.  I stopped at Jamestown this morning but I didn't want to be the only guy out there so I went to Manning.  I caught one nice crappie - that was it.  The ice off of Manning was pretty good, averaging 4"-5".  I stopped back at Jamestown later in the day.  No good there and the ice was anywhere from3" to 5".  The 5" ice down there had a layer of frozen snow on it.

I just got back from Manning myself. I had 5 tip ups in from 1.00 to 5.30 and only one flag, nothing there when I checked it. I think I will stick to Kinzua this year, I have better luck up there.
