Need some tips for 9-14-2007

Heading out of walnut creek PA Fri am. Anyone willing to share how they've done the last couple of days?
I'll be using dipsies.
The report section is kind of scarce. 
I'm fairly novice at this, any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I know the last couple days the wave forecast was very bad 6 to 9 footers this week but tomorrow looks good

    Erie, Pennsylvania From Weather Underground   Forecast as of 10:05 PM EDT on September 13, 2007Friday
    Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots. Mostly sunny except increasing clouds west of Cleveland in the afternoon with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 2 to 4 feet.

    Friday Night
    West winds 15 to 25 knots becoming northwest. A chance of showers. Waves 3 to 5 feet building to 5 to 7 feet. A Small Craft Advisory will be needed.

    Ya Dave, if you dont know the lake I would stay off of her. She can be a b**ch sometimes. Looking at those reports I would be wary to go. Especially by my self. If you do go wear your pfd and have your lanyard hooked up to ya. There is no way to catch a trolling boat by swimming if you get knocked over board. Hope the lake is good for you if you do go.

    Well its 9:30 Fri am, Im on the computer instead of the lake, o well. Thanks for the advice.
    What about Sat or Sun? Anyone heading out?

    Sunday might be fishable although hardly ideal looking at the moment.

    6-9 footers sounds great lets go!
     
    Make a simple phone call 216-265-2370 option 5 then option 4 for inshore report or option 5 for off shore report. It,s that easy just never accurate!
