I do it alot. I run 2 poles on the sides and steer with my leg if need be. If both poles go at the same time just reel in the one and then go after the other. Otherwise you will most likely lose 2 fish instead of one. it can be a bit of an act doing 3 things at once (reeling, steering and netting) but once you get the nack of it it's not too bad. Good luck tomorrow and let us know how you did.

Im sure gonna give it a try, as long as I dont get blown off the lake. I appreciate feedback.
What kind of rods you use? Length wise?
Do set your rod down when trying to net or use net in one hand and rod in the other?
When was the last time you were out? How'd ya do?

I am using 8 1/2 foot rods. My leader is about 5 feet and my net handle is about 5 feet. I hold the rod in one hand and net with the other. It's kinda tricky but works. I was out last week. Did pretty good straight out of Elk in 64 feet of water running about 2.5 mph and 150 back on copper harness's. Heard blueberrie was doing good to. With the big blow who knows what has happened to the fish so it's probably going to be a hunting game till you find them. Black and purple has been fairly good this year and with the lake churned up I would try it for awhile and see. I was running number 1 dipsies at 3 1/2 on either side

    Thanks for the tips.
I ended up staying home because of the weather.
I only have a 19' searay and I didnt want to end up in the drink.
Maybe I'll head up Sat or Sun. Weather permitting.
    Are you heading out?
If so do you have a marine radio?

No problem, anytime. I may go out on Sunday if it's good. Tomorrow looks a little rough. i only have a 15 foot trihull. I wont go out in anything over 3 feet unless i get caught in it. Was cuaght earlier in the year with 6 footers. Stayed fishing for a while till I got tired of being a pinball on my own boat. You can hail me on the radio channel 68 by SSTAZ. If I'm out I'll answer back.
