Walnut webcam

I was on an Ohio website and found a webcam that is located 3.5 miles out on the lake from Cleveland on a crib. I was thinking that that would be a great idea for our neck of the woods, and Walnut already has internet. What do you think it would take to get one here? I would much rather see for myself (at realtime) what the lake looks like than rely on others. It might take a little getting used to as far as judging what the wave size is, but after that it would be great. Here is a link to the one off of Cleveland http://webcam.clevelandcrib.org/

I thought so too. Erie always seems to be playing catch up with the other cities. I think I will call the walnut office and ask them about it.

Next time you are down at Walnut Creek - check the tops of three of the light post in the parking lot  - there is a coil of fiber optic cable already at the top of the posts for running webcams - they just have to get around to hooking up the cameras - one of the cams will be aimed at the mouth of the creek so you can see online the wave conditions.. Just stop in the office and ask Sherry about it..
