9 dollars a dozen

my my forgot to mention we bought over a period of 5 days 2 dozen herring (sawbellies)bait at nine dollars a dozen. I very suspicious as to which deep pocket politians are buying thier daughters and sons BMW and mercedes with that money. I mean state testing and conservation is understandable but all that waisted money in the hands of some thrifty politian is annoying and very inconsiderate to us who fund many programs throug our fishing and hunting licenses. I had in the past proposed a safer measure for a preventive program in which would much further benefit both the DEC and particpant sportsmen. It would be wise to allow dip netting for baitfish for the individuals on that water they intend to fish. In fact, local baitshops should be allowed to set up their own baittraps on or near the waters they sell bait commercially. It just makes better sense and puts to rest the possibility of transmission of this VHS to other regions in the state. Right now i just figure 9 dollars a dozen obsurd and unacceptable... like price gouging at the bait stores! glad i like trolling instead of live lining these days.

    79:

you have to be kidding me
thinking politicians are getting rich over live bait
i don't think they would survive very well up here in the ADK's:
          as the regulations state:
"Use or possession for use as baitfish prohibited"

really bro ,it's about trying to prevent the spread of  fish killing disease and have the bait checked at a lab.

now if you were talking about the oil situation than i agree they are screwing the public royally

Not to get off topic, but i'd be all for a draft- Put 1 million us soldiers there and in Afganistan and go door to door. Anybody found with weopons are taken to the street and made an example of. We need to fight this war to win- Not to ****foot around and make money for those in charge.

Hey 79- what did a dozen cost before? Just wondered, I don't use any bait.
No question we're getting hosed. If we don't unite things are only going to get worse.
