Conneaut Lake

Fished Connie on Friday..lots of small Gills & Crappies...No keepers ..but noticed about half the fish I caught were covered with small black specks..Never saw that before on Conneaut fish.. (have seen it on fish out of other small impoundments)..Anyone know what causes this strange looking appe..

Charter captains out of Walnut Run

Been fishing out of Ohio area for the last ten years or so and I want to fish the PA area now. Would anybody like to recommend a few charters for me to check out? Done with the 8wt

My 8wt has no backbone to when it comes to setting the hook in those big toothy fish. I think it’s slow action. Works great for trout, bass, and carp. Since everything is expensive when it comes to musky fishing, so it looks like I’m going to be building a rod myself. Any input or suggestions...

Fisherman's Cove Boat Launch

I have an 18ft flat bottom Jet. Am I gonna have trouble launching my boat here? Right now the river is up (Franklin 4.5ft), But at normal summer level lets say 2.5 to 3.0 ft in Franklin. Can you launch a jet?..
