afternoon delight

Well, hit dsr for the last 45 minutes they were open...picked away at a few runs in pursuit of a dime bright... finally took a drift in a soft water seem with a slate drop off between a collaboration of pockets and first cast bobber down on an orange egg sac!!! An easy 10 # male as chrome as chrome ..

First snow

First snow of the season has been falling since 1 PM. Probably have 4" on the ground on top of Stormville Mountain. The storm is supposed to break by mid-day tomorrow and I plan to be in the woods when it does. It takes those little brown b--t---s a few days to realize they are no longer invisible. ..

Quick question Brown eggs

A friend of mine whom I went fishing with Wednesday told me a guy at his work told him it is illegal to use brown trout eggs for bait. Not true right???????..

Steelhead Salmon River Pulaski NY Fishing Report

Monday - We were rewarded w/ numerous fish! Lots of jump's, runs. My 2 brand new, inexperienced guest's played with over 10 steelhead while useing a combination of fly rod's and spin. Fly box

Anyone have a recommend on a fly box. I have a few cheaper ones, but they don't hold the flies well and seem a little messy as it is just foam on the inside. Smaller ones to fit in vest pocket and/ or medium ones to go in the backpack. Christmas is coming.............
