What are your tactics. I usually get them on lures in spring threw summer but fall having a hard time. 

I am not an expert, but it is the primary fish I target, albeit on a fly.  I fish lakes, big creeks, and rivers, and it it mostly the same game.
 
Fall - Big and Suspending.  Rip-rip-rip Pause, or some variation on that
Winter - Slow and Deep, still pretty big
Spring (Pre-Spawn) - Small, slow
Summer (Post Spawn)- Big and faster, and faster as the water warms up
