This could have been much worse. Two buddies of mine in this past week of flintlock hunting dropped their rifles out of their tree stands. Luckily the guns didn't fire although the T/C got a broken hammer out of it. When my buddy tried to call T/C  he was told that they had been bought out by another company & was told that due to Covid that they were closed. He tried to find another around here but couldn't find one.They had been seeing deer all week including a couple of shooter bucks,but couldn't seal the deal.But I think that they really lucked out here.btw both were lowering their guns when the ropes came off.   sam

I'm just glad that there were no accidental shootings from it. Knots can be tricky when hand are cold, but I can only imagine they will try different the next time. Again, glad no one was hurt.

fisherlady2, I don't know all of the details but I believe that the T/C slip on sling failed in some way & I don't know about the other one. But as you said I thank GOD that neither guy was hurt.  sam
