I'm just starting to get into fishing from kayaks and I have been using a borrowed boat and figured it would be a good time to look into buying a kayak.

Keep an eye on Craigslist.  And if the drive doesn't bother you, look in some Ohio towns also.  People should be dumping them before winter right about now.  Your size is a bonus.  You will be comfortable on ALL of the fishing models out there.  
 
Also, go to Field and Stream, Cabelas, even Walmart.  Get a baseline price for one of the new entry level fishing kayaks.  If you catch a sale you might be ahead of the game with a new one.  Good luck!
