Here is a serious fishing kayak. 12 foot length, fiberglass paddle, Blackpak storage crate, stand up casting bar, 360 seat, and full length freedom track. You can easily slide the seat and casting bar back and forth or add another seat for 2 person fishing. The Frontier is the most stable kayak on the market. Easy to stand up to fish and/or cast. Square back to install a trolling motor. 

It has only seen the water three times so it is like new. I am pretty firm at $1300 for the whole package which is a very fair price. Located in Western Allegheny County.  *crossbow not included*

The beam is 41 inches on this boat so standing is actually quite easy. Plus the casting bar makes it really stable. 

That is a good looking kayak and casting while standing probably would be ok but should I get a hit, I'd be so excited and my hook set so violent, I'd go asz over tin cups, off the stern. Which again would be OK except one of yinz would sure as hell, be in the area, with your GoPro running. But then again, I could be the next Youtube sensation.

Yes. This is my kayak. I actually bowfished out of it. It is very stable. On the heavy side as well due to its width. Many of the higher end fishing kayaks can be somewhat heavy. 

I wouldn't think the kayak would be much heavier than some canoes and it would be much easier for one person to handle on the water.  I'm just not sure a kayak will be my cup of tea as far as getting in and out with the emphasis on..... getting out.  Problem is I don't want to invest a chunk of change into a quality kayak and not want to keep it but like anything else, the cheaper the item the more likely the disappointment.  
 
I enjoyed fishing from canoes on the river and creeks around the Franklin area in years past and I would enjoy doing so again in the future just this time around, there won't be the old crew to man the boats.

With the casting bar to pull up with and the high seat height, going from sitting to standing is quite easy. As far as getting in and out, you can almost stand on the side of the kayak and it will not flip. Holding the casting bar, stepping on and off is into the water or onto a dock or land is a very safe transition.

My setup is a Barnett Recruit youth crossbow. It is not expensive and easy to****by hand, which is very helpful while bowfishing. AMS bowfishing makes a crossbow adapter for their bowfishing reels. You need the picatinny attachment to attach the crossbow adapter to the rail under the barrel. I top mine off with a Tru-Glo open red dot sight. 
 

I've fished,  ummm.... shot at fish, using a "Bear" youth compound and have to admit it was good times.   Heck I still have my GoBEE remote bow spot light, which is the same light that got my stupid asz in trouble on Pymie. 
 
I have the PSE Fang but maybe, too much draw weight for perforating fish, with a fiberglass stick???

Never such as thing as too much but the draw weight of the Fang is not needed for carp and such. The youth crossbow I use is only 100 pound draw weight. Easy to pull back by hand over and over. 

I do have a Bear compound 45 lb draw I could rig with a new reel and seat. What's your take on the Cajun kit that includes the Zebco 808 spincast bowfishing reel?
