Had a fantastic Friday evening and Saturday morning bite.
Put 14 fish on the deck with 5 over 40".
Lost countless more.
Drifting was the ticket.
Going out a few days after work but unfortunately I have to end my season by Thursday. Way to many projects to catch up on.
Peace and stripers.

Striper fun stuff is over for me.
We fished until dark yesterday and not 1 bite. Only the second skunk of the season for my boat.
Pulled the boat today and she's sitting on dry land now.
It was a great season but time to focus on the garden , farming and next adventure.

It sounds like your season went well. Those are the little perks of life that make it sweeter.

Fun stuff from woods to water.
Memorial weekend we went to deer camp to build a shooting shack for my grandson so he han youth hunt.
The build went extremely well. Everything is done except cutting out the windows.

This weekend we went to the ausable river for some fishing.
Caught a bunch of dinks on day 1 but yesterday we found the honey spot.
Kept 3 fish and released a bunch of others.
The new regulations are now only 2 fish over 12 inches.. crazy...

Next up is Rhode island to harvest a bunch of clams for the annual July 4th celebration at my house.
Wheels never stop turning here.

Mulberries starting to pop around here.  Took the dog for a walk and enough ripe ones to pick a handful for personal consumption.  This next week, should be plenty for a good picking for freezing or baking with (can you say cobbler!).

thanks Dar- your a dog guy and 'get it'  with certain dogs.
After years of breeding great champion bred english labs with the occasional rare english with his field points being bred back in this is likely our last --gotta do the whole thing.
Just wish he paid more attention to his diet.
Just got  vet call and all is well-now likely have to skip our S Carolina trip to our sons new house while recoup happens
good thing I didnt finalize a bucket list pig hunt

Ouch! Hope he heals up quickly!  We went through it with an 8 month old female over the winter, bowel obstruction for unknown cause, Doc did surgery, found a bunch of unidentifiable matter that she cleared. Hard to say what she got into but hasn't had trouble since. We were lucky, it only cost a total of about $1,350.  (xrays, barium swallow, surgery and post op meds, 1 night at vets)
