Which lakes in NWPA can you legally drive these vehicles on to the lakes, and which ones is it illegally?  Not starting a convo here about whether or not it is ethical, safe, or what your opinion is on this matter..... Just would like a list of which lakes you can and cannot

You can not run them on Shenango lake and Pymatuning Lake. You can run them on Conneaut Lake and Lake Erie's Presque Isle Bay from the city side only. Not sure of any of the other waters in NW PA.

Goddard State Park permits the use of snowmobiles around the lake but, not on the lake.  You would be wise to contact the PFBC Northwest office in Meadville, PA.  Also (I'll stand corrected) should you become stranded on an ice flow on Erie; your equipment stays behind unless you find somebody that will go it.  

I've seen them on Sugar, Canadohta and Conneaut. I'm assuming those lakes are legal.

Why assume? Where is the logic in that. Thr effort required to call the PFBC would have been less than the effort to start a post.

Besides saying you heard u were allowed on lake x with a wheeler means little when your handed a ticket. Play it safe and call if you feel you need a wheeler. Just saying

I don't own one. I don't plan on using one... thus why I wrote on here versus calling.  Just curious and thought others would appreciate the thread who do plan on taking vehicles. Save them the time and effort.

I didn't say you were a bother but it didn't make sense for how I read it. So you were trying to start a list of lakes that it was ok, but didn't have any concrete info to start it. Perhaps still calling the fish commision and getting the information is somthing you can pass on to all that are wondering
