well aside from the few that have posted sadly the fishing here is over (it really has been for quite some time) . strange , still plenty of ice out there , even in the south.
this season started in the desert with trout and cats but my thoughts were of the fresh first ice my buds were sending me pictures of.. I could not wait until my 3 week desert trip ended until i kicked it up big time once the plane landed.. things have been tough on all of our gang but we always managed to find good times fishing. what a long strange trip it's been..

Real nice looking pics, look forward seeing to more. Haven't been able to get out for hard water this year for one reason or another. Missed the Northern Challenge because of a nasty cold and fly fishing shows ate up a lot of the rest of my time. Starting to look to open water for trout then striper. Have a new set of Simms waders and boots plus a couple of new TFO rods just waiting for trout. Went through the striper gear last night to make a list of what I need for the up coming season. Also been in the market for a boat; so looking forward to a great 2011 with hopefully plenty of pics to post.

Huh ? 
Best ice of the year has been the last 3 weeks or so .... solid, very easy walking and over a Foot every where i have been in the capt district.
 
 
 

well i guess snyders lake is unlucky because all of the other lakes arround here aren naural or springfed
