Is there safe ice on Conneaut Lake yet?
No school tomorrow so would like to get out if it's asfe.

conneaut is ALWAYS the last lake to be ready... Tamarack & Woodcock are first, followed by edinboro canadohta and Pymy, conneaut lake is always 2-4 weeks after tamarack is ready, sometimes more if it's snowy/slushy. i will be surprised if it's ready for the tournament. how's tamarack today?

Been there and been watching the ice form since 6 a.m.
You can see the differance in the ice as it forms. I've been watching the colors in the ice change and the solid ice as it moves past that tree.

No ...just waiting for safe ice. Was out on tamarack yesterday. met up with IMOFISH. (he's a riot!!)
Ice was just fishable....needless to say we didn't stand too close...3"/4" of ice at best.

Conneaute is lock solid with just a light dusting of snow from last night, it was open on my way home from work at 11 so it froze early this morning, guess that's what happens when you have single and lower temps

How is the ice out there??

after last nights rain i doubt its very good if there is any ice on it.
